CONTENTMENT IN EVERY SITUATION

Today is the day the Lord has made.

It’s time for coffee.

I call it ‘coffee with Jesus.’

I’m feeling discontent this morning but can’t think of anything that happened to create this mood.

Hopefully, the caffeine will lift my spirit.

The enemy makes me feel like I’m missing something in my life.

But God is the head of my life, and He is all I need – my joy, peace, happiness, friend, strength, source, and life sustainer.

I don’t understand why I’m feeling restless this morning.

Nothing terrible has happened.

I have a good life – family and friends that love me and that I love.

I’m in a good Bible-teaching church with an anointed pastor and good fellowship with the saints.

I am not lacking anything.

All of my mental and physical faculties are intact.

I have food to eat and clothes to wear and live in a lovely home.

Perhaps I should be doing more for the kingdom.

Am I feeling disgruntled because the Holy Spirit is trying to get my attention?

I want to be like the apostle Paul – to be content in whatever state I’m in, any situation I’m in, and no matter what stage of my life.

I know that all things work for good for those who love God, and I love God.

How have you learned to be content in every situation?

I am always content with what happen, for I know that what God chooses is better than what I choose.”_________________________________Epictetus
