I am running into so many obstacles to getting my third book published and promoting the first two that I am getting very disappointed, which is not of God. I desire to get my books into the hands of readers who will get blessed because God has anointed my hands to write.
As the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
Do any other writers sense the same disappointment and desires?
It takes time for things to happen and success to come, and Jehovah has the right timing.
I remember reading about Joshua and how the Lord did not let him conquer all of the promised lands simultaneously. Yahweh allowed Joshua to dominate the ground a little bit at a time, telling him that the wild animals would be too much for the people if they conquered all of the lands at once.
So let us apply that principle to our lives.
We will obtain success a little at a time so that the ‘wild animals of this world – jealousy, greed, pride, arrogance, self-reliance, attachments – will not destroy us.
We will deal with the obstacles, knowing that success is ours because God promised that He would give us success in all that we put our hands to.
Meditational Quote: “I have learned that success is measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles he has overcome.”
