WAIT ON THE LORD

Good morning world.

I’m feeling really exhausted today; don’t know why. I guess we have days like this – days that we don’t want to get out of bed; not really sleepy, but just want to lie there and think, reflect, and meditate.

But, I have too much to do to stay in bed all day, so up I jumped, had oatmeal with fruit, and a cup of Starbucks coffee with chocolate truffle creamer. I sat down at the computer and started working on blogs. Things were going well after the Holy Spirit started my creative juices flowing –  until I needed to research something on the World Wide Web. That’s when I discovered my WIFI wasn’t working, and I could not access the internet.

It’s truly amazing how dependent we have become on the internet. I could have researched the material manually by looking through a few books, but it is much easier to type in a question and get several immediate responses in a moment. Why waste precious time reading when I can just type my request?

Back to my dilemma – I called Time Warner Cable (TWC/Spectrum) to make sure my service had not been disconnected, which it was not. Anyone who has ever called TWC or any of the service providers know that you are on the phone with them for hours as they attempt to resolve the problem. I spent the next two hours on my knees unplugging and reconnecting cables, tracing cables from the modem to the router, and from the computer to the modem until I was totally frustrated and sweating. TWC stayed with me, although I was ready to forget it, and got me connected back with the World Wide Web.

My impatience, frustration, and feeling of exhaustion brought the scripture from Isaiah to mind “Wait on the Lord and He will renew your strength.” So I inhaled,  exhaled, and released the impatience, frustration, and exhaustion, and waited for the Lord to renew me.

I am energetic!

I am excited!

I am renewed!

Meditational Quote: Isaiah 40:31 King James Version (KJV) “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Why do you believe the Lord will provide renewal for you when you’re frustrated and exhausted?
