“For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:11-12 (NKJV)
Do you remember when you barely avoided ‘that’ accident?
Can you recall a time when you felt angels were watching over you?
I can reflect on multiple incidents when the ‘angel’ of the Lord protected me.
Last fall as I made a left turn, I looked down to change the radio station after seeing no cars approaching. A young boy dashed out of nowhere in front of my vehicle, running across the street. A very visible red light and noticeable red “do not walk” hand displayed. I jammed my brakes. Thanked God that I looked up and saw the child. Thanked Jehovah for His guardian angels watching over me and keeping my auto from hitting the kid. I’ve never killed or hit anything while driving and that would have been very, very traumatic for me. Even though I wasn’t at fault.
“My guardian angels were there hovering over me, keeping me from hitting the child, protecting me from trauma.”
Another time, several years ago, I was driving on the icy interstate. The highway seemed clear. I switched lanes, hit some black ice, swerved to the opposite side of the freeway. The car spun around. I released the steering wheel and just called out “JESUS!”
“My guardian angel picked my Audi up, set me in a ditch. The trench was shallow enough that I could just drive out – Glory to God!”
I thought I was on my way to meet my maker but it wasn’t my time to leave this earth.
God still had work for me to do and still has work for me to do.
“If you’re still breathing, He has work for you to do too!”
I’m sure you can remember a time when:
- Another vehicle almost struck you.
- You lost control on a slick road.
- Your vehicle hit a tree, fire hydrant, or street light.
- You were not injured.
- Nor anyone else was hurt.
“It was your guardian angels protecting you.”
Be reminded that God gives His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways!
