A few nuggets of wisdom about choosing a godly mate:
One – Don’t be impressed by what he says but how he lives. The fruit knows a tree that bears it – watch what type of fruit crops up in his life.
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.” Matthew 7: 15- 18
Two – Don’t date for the sake of dating. Know what you want out of the relationship and discuss it with him. Let him know you don’t date to have companionship, but is expecting it to lead to marriage.
Three – Once you both understand what each wants, don’t spend exorbitant time alone with him, especially at night. It seems the lustful spirits come out at night.
Four – Try to plan dates where there will be lots of people around.
Five – Don’t let him touch you too often. Holding hands may be safe.
Depending on the physical feelings aroused, you may need to avoid holding hands.
Remember that holding hands could lead to touching – Touching to caressing – Caressing to fondling – Fondling to fornication.
Lamentations 3:24-25, “I say to myself, The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.” NIV
God did not forget to create your soul mate. He desires the best for His Kings and Queens, and is preparing you for your mate.
Jehovah is molding and transforming you and your mate into His image.
Elohim is giving you His character, attributes, and nature.
When El Elyon has disclosed your blemishes, defects, and unclean areas – Ones that Satan can use to bring discord in your marriage, you will be ready to meet your soul mate.
“Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.
Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip.
Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions.
Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you.
Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust.”
